Signature of Martin Gilbert to the title page of Volume 1. Volume 6 is a 1989 reprint whilst all other volumes are 1st Editions. Owners inscription in ink to volume 3 and plates 14 & 15 repaired with tape. Small tear to the bottom of the title page of volume 5. All volumes have red boards with gold lettering to the spines. Some volumes tipped in red. Light spotting to some of the closed page edges. Minor shelf wear to the edges and light rubbing to the top and bottom of the spines. Dust jackets in a clear protective removable sleeves, some with more wear and chipping to the edges than others. Volume 4 has a large piece missing to the top of the spine. No further inscriptions, pages are clean and bright with illustrations, maps and photos throughout. This is a large heavy set and therefore postage/delivery will need to be discussed prior to purchase. Any digital image available on request.
